What can you win!

Judging Criteria

The expert team at Sufi will judge your recipes and pictures based on the following three point criteria:

Presentation/Appearance

No matter how amazing your dish tastes and how wonderful your cooking skills are, how you present it always makes a big difference in increasing one's desire to eat it. So before you send us that image of your dish make sure it is decorated and garnished in a beautiful and creative way. The stakes are high so put your best foot forward and show us that you have got it! After all, appearance does matter!

Relevance to the theme: Chicken

Relevance to the theme: Chicken

It is absolutely necessary to use "Chicken" as one of the ingredients of your dish. What you decide to make with chicken: curry, sweet dish, main course, salad, soup, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Continental and so on, is totally up to you. However, using chicken is an absolute must! Recipes which are not based on this theme will be disqualified. Our advice: Get innovative, think out of the box and make something that will let your talent shine through!

Originality of the Recipe

Originality of the Recipe

Entries must be the original recipe of the entrant. Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as but not limited to those in cookbooks, in magazines, from food companies, on food blogs or recipe websites and winners in cooking contests, unless the recipe features changes considered significant by the judges. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this Contest.

  1. Please note that this competition is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will begin on January 1st 2012 and end on January 31st 2012. In this phase the participants will be required to send in their entries for the competition. Phase 2 will begin from February 14th 2012 and last till February 28th 2012. In this phase, the images of the shortlisted dishes and their recipes will be uploaded on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/SufiOilandGhee and will be open to voting by the general public. Winners of the competition will be announced after both these phases end.
  2. Each participant must upload 2 things in total: 1 recipe and 1 photo of the dish they cook: The photo of the dish must contain any product of Sufi Oil and Ghee placed next to the dish. The company will have the right to use this picture if it gets shortlisted. The recipe must be according to the format given in the guidelines. The words must be clear and visible.
  3. Picture of the plated dish must be clear and must be taken with any Sufi Oil or Ghee product. All pictures taken without it will be disqualified.
  4. All participants must fill out Sufi's Members Club form to participate in Sufi's Master Chef Competition.
  5. One member can only send one recipe and picture of one dish only.
  6. Three grand winners of Sufi's Master Chef Competition will be selected by the Expert team at Sufi.
  7. These top 3 grand winners will be required to cook their dishes again in front of our judges.
  8. IF, the company decides to host a sequel of Sufi's Master Chef™ Competition on TV, the grand winners of this online competition may be invited to participate in it.
  9. The recipes of 100 lucky participants who are shortlisted for 'Viewer's Choice Awards' will be uploaded on Facebook and open to voting by the public. The name and city of these contestants will also be displayed on Facebook voting application. The top 10 dishes with the highest number of votes will receive fabulous prizes and the others will receive honorary gift hampers from Sufi.
  10. The name and type of Sufi Oil and Ghee product used in your dish MUST be mentioned in the recipe that you submit for this contest.
  11. Please write your current and complete contact information on the Members’ Club Form so we can keep updating you about the competition.
  12. A picture or recipe copied off the internet will not be entered into the contest and the person will be banned from participating in all our future contests.
  13. Images of the gifts shown may differ from the actual gift.
  14. Company has the rights to modify or call off this scheme for any reason without any prior notice.
  15. The company also has the right to disqualify any contestant/entry without any prior notice.
  16. Please visit the 'Guidelines' tab that has been made especially for your convenience. It will guide you on the participation process, judging criteria and how to take picture of your dish so you can increase your chances of winning our fabulous prizes.
